BRIGHTON SCULPTURES

Yesterday we spent a few hours at Brighton beach looking at the many sculptures displayed on the foreshore. We had a lovely afternoon there and then had a pizza at the Esplanade Hotel. A great day out in perfect weather.

The sculptures were mostly for sale but not all were in our budget or suitable for our small garden but they were really interesting.

Out and About

It's been a very hot week here in Adelaide but we have managed to get out and about with friends in between the hot days.

Last Sunday we had a day out to a park in Brownhill Creek with  a nice drive through the hills and stopping at the park for a picnic.

The week ended with breakfast at the Birkenhead Tavern on the Port River in Port Adelaide.  We go here at this time every year with friends from our car club and it is always a great breakfast and good to see everyone again after our Xmas break.

We are expecting another hot week of probably 30+C so we will probably be home in the air conditioning watching the Tennis, although we do have a couple of medical appointments but that will be all except for some food shopping.

Around Home

Already we are over a week into 2024.  Since the new year we have been around home  a bit more. Had a nice lunch at an Italian cafe that we haven't been to for quite a while. I had Bruschetta with avocado & chicken which was good but too much bread for me. I must remember not to order it again as I have had similar before and these days I don't like a lot of bread and usually get Gluten free which does seem to be better for me.

I didn't take any food pics but took a few on our walk to the Cafe and also on one of our walks near home.  Our granddaughter turned 17 so I did get a nice photo of both of us.
