It's been a very hot week here in Adelaide but we have managed to get out and about with friends in between the hot days.
Last Sunday we had a day out to a park in Brownhill Creek with a nice drive through the hills and stopping at the park for a picnic.

The week ended with breakfast at the Birkenhead Tavern on the Port River in Port Adelaide. We go here at this time every year with friends from our car club and it is always a great breakfast and good to see everyone again after our Xmas break.

We are expecting another hot week of probably 30+C so we will probably be home in the air conditioning watching the Tennis, although we do have a couple of medical appointments but that will be all except for some food shopping.
86 degrees for you and 16 degrees for me--lol! Can't imagine having it that hot out when we haven't been above freezing for weeks. Isn't the earth an amazing place.
ReplyDeleteThat was a unique looking park and nice to meet up with friends in such pretty surroundings. Stay cool!! :)
I hope the heat isn't too bad for you. I've been hearing from my family in Queensland about how bad it's been and trying not to complain about our (relatively much cooler) heat. Thank heavens for those hardy tennis players to entertain us while we hide indoors, eh?
ReplyDeleteYour day out with friends looks most enjoyable.
Lovely shots of around Adelaide. It's been very hot here too but with extreme humidity.
ReplyDeleteRita, yes its amazing with the very unusual weather here and over where you are too. We always get hot weather in summer but there have been a lot of wild weather storms and floods on the east coast of Australia which is a bit unusual. We are ok here in South Australia so far which is good, just hot but I don't mind the heat but I have to water my garden several times a day. Hope you are ok where you are.
ReplyDeleteDiane, yes it's the humidity that is hard to deal with. Thankfully, we don't get a lot of humid days but when we do it's not pleasant. Stay cool and comfortable.
