CARRIETON, South Australia – Carrieton is 300 km north of Adelaide and is a small rural community on the RM Williams Highway.

The Caravan Park in Carrieton was formerly the local school and now is a beautiful little park which has 16 caravan sites, some non-powered sites, a bunkhouse and a cottage as well as showers and toilet facilities.

The Carrieton Hotel was originally opened in 1879 and has been recently restored and is now a family owned hotel.
We always have a walk around the town once we have settled into the park. There are quite a few old buildings which are now mostly derelect as the town has only about 40 residents but it is a lovely old town with an interesting history and a community that is keen to keep the town alive and we try to visit here when we can.
