Renmark is a beautiful town in the heart of South Australia's Riverland about 3 hours drive from our home in Adelaide.
ROSES
The Rose Festival is an annual event and a great attraction in the Riverland. We had a wonderful few days enjoying all the activities in the region. The whole town participates with roses displayed in the shop windows, and the main street has beautiful displays of roses in the median strip and public gardens. Many houses also open their gardens to the public and businesses have displays. Enjoy the roses!

RIVER
Renmark is on the River Murray and the bridge crosses the river at Paringa, just out of Renmark and has a lifting span which opens twice a day for larger vessels.
I can certainly see why the rose festival would attract people from all over. Just beautiful! But you showed some other pretty sights, too. Lovely fountain. Looks like a really pretty town to visit. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember much about Renmark. It obviously was not rose festival time because that is something I really would notice.
ReplyDeleteLiterally loving your roses. I have some red ones in my garden named "Lest we forget" which are just starting to come into bloom.
ReplyDeleteIt does the heart good to see roses and colour when my garden is over for the year. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat an experience having the entire town decked out with roses. I never tire of looking at roses. thank you for sharing all of these beauties from Renmark. When I was growing up, my father grew roses along the entire side of our house. He had about 20 bushes lining our home, and he provided weekly roses to all our friends during the summer.
