Pemberton is located approximately 320 km south of Perth in the beautiful and magnificent Karri forests.

The Pemberton Railway Company is a privately owned railway and travels through beautiful forests and creeks and is run by volunteers and paid workers. We enjoyed the 10km tram ride with commentary about the timber industry of the area.

We had a great few days at Pemberton and the main attraction for us was the Railway so we spent most of our time there but the town itself was lovely and had many nice places to eat. The caravan park had kookaburras come down to see what was happening and mainly looking for food. We had to make sure they didn't take our food while we were cooking outdoors, they are very fast!

What a nice camping spot. The town looks all green and lush. Fun train ride. Pesky birds, though--lol! :)
ReplyDeleteI like trains, so I've greatly enjoyed your description of the Pemberton train ride.
ReplyDeleteThat train would be a highlight for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your comments, and yes it was a lovely place to camp and the train ride was great. The day before I slipped on a rough pathway and so I enjoyed just sitting on the train. My OH got out when it stopped and explored a bit.
