Sunday Selections

We were meant to be camping in the Flinders Ranges this Easter weekend but of course we are at home, so we got out our camping chairs and our home made Chuffer and camp oven and cooked our beef and veg stew!  Sorry I didn't take a photo of the cooked meal but our friends who we were going away with us  organised a Group Chat and I got sidetracked.

Carport camping is not quite the same as being in the bush!
We had a great Group Chat with our friends and shared a few laughs.  We are all doing the best we can and we were all doing a camping theme, some of them were having a Weber bbq and the children were hoping to camp out but they ended up in tents indoors as it was a bit chilly last night.

As I don't have any more camping photos here are a few of some of the flowers in the garden at the moment.  We are still getting some warm days and some cooler ones and even some light showers which helps  as we have had a fairly dry summer.

Mandevilla
I have moved the Mandevilla back to its original spot on the western edge of the pergola as it has lots of yellowing leaves which are dropping off, so it has some sort of disease.  I wiped over a lot of the leaves  and hope that might help as well as the change of position.  We'll see how it goes.

The front window with teddy bears so children can see them and play a game of counting as they walk

New bird bath as the possums broke the old one
This fuschia is over 20 years old
Our walking path in the local Reserve  near where I tripped and broke my arm a few years ago.

Happy Easter Everyone!  Stay Safe and keep your distance, and we will be able to live our normal lives again.

  1. Thank you for joining Sunday Selections again.
I loved your photos - and thank you for joining the Teddy Bear Hunt. Some people in my street have too (photos to follow) but my bears have gone.

  2. Monster gum tree in the last photo. I only heard about the teddy bear thing this morning, along with dressing in your finery to take out the rubbish bin, and now both are everywhere. Does stew normally photograph well? I hope you camping 'trip' was fun.

  3. Happy Easter to you both.
Great big tree there, and you have nice flowers.
A few have put teddies in their windows or soft toys for those to see when walking past, would you believe I only have one little teddy!

  4. Many of us around the world are adapting, with changed plans, this Easter Sunday. There is still love and hope, and the seasons are changing.
    Happy Easter!
