On our trip to WA in October 2017 we stopped at Pildappa Rock, Minnipa to see the huge granite rock. It is about 15km from Minnipa but well worth the detour and it was quite a surprise to find such a huge outcrop of granite. There is a camping area at the rock but we were there in the morning, After looking around and climbing part of the rock, we had lunch under the lovely trees. Minnipa is 601 km north west of Adelaide.

I've never heard of it but I bet my sister knows it. It is a seriously large rock.
ReplyDeleteThat is a MONSTER of a rock - and I love the geraniums thriving at its base.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating place! I am always intrigued by rock formations. The views are superb as is the rock itself. How awesome that the geraniums have such history, too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you joined us over at at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
