Waterfalls

We spent another day in the Herberton area, but this time visiting some of the waterfalls.  The weather was foggy and at times it was difficult to see in the fog, but the area is known as the Misty Mountains, so I guess this is normal for this part.

On the way to the falls we passed through some beautiful countryside.  I really like the old corrugated iron sheds in the paddocks and the cattle, and couldn't resist some photos.

Our first stop was Millaa Millaa Falls, and a short walk to the falls which were very pretty and easy to view.  The falls are surrounded by tropical rainforest.

Our next stop was Zillii Falls and another short walk to view them.

Our next stop was the Elinjaa Falls.

  3. Rosie - I am not sure what intrigued me more - the waterfalls or the tropical nature of the environment. I was struck by the vines entwined around the trees, and the roots on the ground that almost looked like snakes. Yikes! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

    1. Angie - I loved the trees too and would have taken more photos but the batteries died on my camera, so didn't get as many. Thank goodness no snakes there.
