A Four Wheel Drive Tour in the Flinders Ranges,
South Australia
A very steep incline at the beginning |
Magnificent views from the top |
And then we had to go down |
Wild life along the track |
A few frightened sheep |
And one lost emu |
Welcome to our retired life in Australia, travelling in our caravan, enjoying our life at home, our garden and our family.
We had planned a longer road trip but a few days after leaving we had a phone call from Ron's Medical Specialist to make the appointmen...

That’s quite a trek up that hill and the terrain seems so dry. In my neck of the woods, it would be amazing to see a kangaroo or an emu … lost or otherwise. Thanks for sharing your world.:)
Love your back country drive, the scenery and awesome wildlife that we don't have here.
My favourite is that last one.
Looks like a wonderful place to go! 😊 Kit
What awesome photos
It was a great 4wd track, and very dry too, as is a lot of Australia. We always see kangaroos and emus in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. We are fortunate to live only a few hours drive away.
The Flinders Ranges is our favourite holiday destination, very rugged and lots of wildlife.
Thanks Kit, we love going to the Flinders Ranges.
Thanks Jo-Anne, it's a great place for photographing the animals and beautiful scenery.
Wonderful photos of harsh, beautiful, big sky country. The very thought of a 4wd adventure brings a smile to my face. Love the lost emu shot!
We went to the Flinders Ranges on our last trip to South Australia a few years ago, but didn't go quite as off-road as this! Happy travels! And thank you for ivisiting my blog this week.
What a wonderful drive through some mountains. Oh I would love to see a kangaroo in the wild.
I also enjoyed your mosaic moments as well.
