Old but not forgotten

Please visit Mosaic Monday

This week we are home and getting things done around the house and some alterations to the caravan interior.

For Mosaic Monday I have gone through my photos and found some lovely old buildings to share.

We have travelled to the Flinders Ranges and to Farina and Marree several times a year over the last 20 years and love the beauty of the rugged Flinders Ranges and the isolation of Farina and Marree.

There is restoration in Farina of the buildings  and although  it has changed over the years, the volunteers are doing a great job and are also leaving some of the buildings unrestored but have stabilised them so that they remain safe for everyone to enjoy and have many sign boards which tell the story of Farina.

I like the title of your post "old but not forgotten", and, of course the lovely pictures. I also get attracted by rugged, isolated places. We've also got a desert, and a lake that is below sea level (The Dead Sea).
Enjoy your time at home!

Rosie - when I first saw the picture of the Yacht Club, I thought it was somebody's idea of a joke!!! So glad you explained it. What would the world be without volunteers? I love how some of the buildings have red brick decorating the window and door openings - beautiful! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Beautiful old buildings, especially set against that blue sky.
