Forbes to Canowindra
We had a fairly short drive from Forbes to Canowindra, 70 km which was a nice change. The caravan park was small but had everything needed for a nice stay, and we overlooked part of the river and the flood plain. Everything around was lovely and green so they must get more rain here than in Adelaide. On our way we passed through the little village of Eugowra, not much there but these murals were on most of the buildings, made a nice change from blank walls.
Day 6 -Canowindra
We had a lazy morning, it was quite warm. We drove back into town as it was a bit far for me to walk and too hot, and we had a look at the little shops in the street and some lovely galleries, lots of art here, also some second hand shops but we thought they were pretty pricey for some of the old, worn out stuff so we didn't spent our money and I am trying to downsize not add to my stuff! There is a swing bridge in the town so we went looking for it and finally found it, pity they didn't have any signs for it.Main street, Canowindra |

Day 7
We left Canowindra and headed towards Cowra. Before leaving we were lucky to see some hot air balloons above the caravan park so that was great to see first thing in the morning. It was a lovely cool and sunny morning and the balloons looked great. We arrived in Cowra and found the Japanese Gardens so decided to go in and we are glad we did as they were beautiful. We spent over an hour there just wandering around, not many people there when we arrived but by the time we left it was much busier and much warmer.
We left Cowra and passed through Boorowa, bypassed Yass, then stopped at Gunning for fuel, then on to Gundaroo where we stopped for the night.
