After a few days enjoying Mildura, we headed along the river to Swan Hill and then to Lake Boga.
We wanted to see the Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum and had a great time there and found the staff very helpful in explaining everything associated with the Catalina Flying Boat and its history with WWII.

After leaving Lake Boga we travelled on to Echuca where we booked in for a few nights as we were wanting to do a paddle steamer trip on the river. After settling in we drove over the border to Moama and wandered around the market there, and then back to Echuca and booked a cruise on the PS Adelaide. We had some time to walk around the wharf area and took some photos before boarding the PS Adelaide.

PS Pevensey The Pevensey is special because it is an authentic paddlesteamer with its original steam engine.
|
Pevensey began life in 1910 as a barge named Mascotte, but was rebuilt as a paddle steamer within twelve months. The completed steamer was named after a sheep property on the Murrumbidgee River called Pevensey Station.
PS Adelaide is the oldest wooden hulled paddle steamer still operating anywhere in the world It is now moored at the Echuca |
