Last weekend we had a lovely drive through the Adelaide hills with friends in our car club to Yankalilla, a small town on the Fleurieur Peninsula, about 74 km from Adelaide. We had lunch at the Yankalilla Hotel and then drove back home through Normanville, a small town on the coast about an hour from Adelaide.Yankalilla was settled in 1842 and the District Council of Yankalilla was established in 1854.

The Gorge Mill was built in 1856 by William Fergusson and is now Heritage listed.
After lunch we all went our separate ways, and we decided to go home through Normanville which is a lovely coastal town where we have stayed in our caravan quite a few years ago, so it was great to see some changes there.

Have a great weekend and I would love you to comment if you have enjoyed the photos.
We love to travel in our van as well. But as hubby is still working in our business we tend to have short weekends away right now. Hopefully one day we can do some more bigger trips. For now I’ll travel via your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela, caravan travel is always a great holiday even for shorter trips. We have been retired for over 10 years now and are starting to find the travelling a bit more difficult so we are doing shorter trips too but have done many longer ones which were great.
DeleteThat looked like a fun day trip. Love the cars and the scenery
ReplyDeleteI have been gone a while but hoping to be back weekly now. I love those old cars.
ReplyDeleteGreat skies.
