Linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday.
19th June 2019
I have not taken any photos this week, just because I haven't been out and about and I thought housework would not be a very interesting topic so I am posting some photos from way back in 2009 when we did our first long trip halfway around Australia.
We left from Adelaide and headed north to Darwin then across to Western Australia and down the West coast and across the Nullabor back to Adelaide.
We had a fantastic holiday and we have many wonderful photos and memories.
Monkey Mia, Western Australia |
Monkey Mia is approximately 900 km north of Perth, Western Australia. We stayed in Denham, a small town about 24 km from the dolphin reserve. The Park Rangers supervise the feeding of the dolphins. sometimes 3 times a day. We arrived there about 8 am but had to wait a while before the dolphins arrived. Some people stood at the waters' edge but we decided to view the dolphins from the small jetty a few metres away. Not all of the dolphins came to eat from the Rangers, some just came to socialise with them. The Rangers allowed some of the children to feed the dolphins and it was lovely to see them enjoying the closeness of the dolphins. We stayed for a couple of hours until it was obvious no more were coming and the other dolphins were swimming away.
