The Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos) are endemic to Western Australia. The flowers are velvety and come in various colours of yellow, orange and red. The Kangaroo Paw is the floral emblem of Western Australia. The name is derived from the shape of the unopened flower which resembles a kangaroo paw. As a cut flower they last a long time.
