Mothers Day and beyond

Beautiful chrysanthemums from my daughter and family

Australian native flowers from hubby

I had 2 days of Mothers Day  celebrations as we celebrated with daughter and family on Saturday as she had m-in -law on Sunday. We had  coffee and cake at a really nice cafe near us. On Sunday our son and family minus 2 visited with  really lovely home made afternoon tea made by granddaughter. Very lucky to have family visit as they all are very busy & grandchildren at University so heaps of study and part time jobs.

The flowers are lovely and I love having flowers in the house. I have tried to grow flowers for cutting but so far they have not been successful. I will try again in Spring, aa our back patio garden is too shady in winter. I think I will buy flowers each week when I do the grocery shopping as they brighten up the house and I feel happy looking at them.

We also had a week away in Clare, a town 2 hrs from home in a wine area, although we didn't do any wine tasting this trip, but caught up with friends which was lovely as some have had health problems and it was difficult for them to come away.

0One afternoon we went for a drive to see more of the local area.

Lovely Autumn colours

Vineyards are everywhere in this wine district

We have stayed in Clare many times and have visited a lot of wineries which is a great way to spend an afternoon.

Below are a few photos from previous trips to Clare with our family and friends.

I hope all the mothers enjoyed their special day.

We are now home and I am resting up after a procedure to my ankle.
