Day 27 - Mandurah
Mandurah is a large city approximately 70 km south of Perth. We spent a few hours wandering around as it has many interesting artworks and a lovely waterfront area.

Day 28
We reluctantly left Mandurah and headed to Perth with our friends and stayed overnight at their house. We had a great night and next morning said goodbye and drove to Alkimos, a suburb further north, to check on a rental property for our daughter.

Brighton Beach near Alkimos |
After looking around this newly developed suburb, we headed to nearby Brighton, a popular surfing beach, and stopped here for some food supplies.
From Brighton we headed to York where we stayed overnight in a lovely free camping area provided by the local council.

York is the oldest inland town in Western Australia and is popular with tourists for its beautiful Victorian and Federation architecture and an excellent Motor Museum.

York Motor Museum |
Ron and I spent hours at the York Motor Museum. It was very well displayed and even I found it interesting but Ron was in his element and looked at every display and read everything about all the vehicles, so after a while I left and wandered around the shops and did a bit of shopping for the grandchildren. |
