Weekend Reflections in Tambo, Queensland
Tambo is a central Outback Queensland town located on the Matilda Way, halfway between Brisbane and Mount Isa.
We camped here on the banks of the Barcoo River for a few nights last year on our trip from Adelaide to Queensland.

I love your header. Quintessential Australiana.
That light display at the Waltzing Matilda Centre is a heap of fun - and I hadn't even heard of it. Many thanks.
Nice photos.
Can remember Tambo but not necessarily the town.
Haven't been to Winton for years.
Tambo was a nice little town, nice cafe there for meals, and we free camped along the river just out of town, a lovely spot.
I'd love to visit all the little towns around Australia, they are so unique :)

I really enjoyed our visit to the Matilda Centre. The light show was different then. Happy travels.
EC, the new Waltzing Matilda Centre was great and we spent a few hours there, so much to see. Unfortunately we never got to the old one that burnt down as the year when we were there we were busy sightseeing other things, and then soon after it was burnt, but the new one is very interesting.
Betty, we love the little towns in Aus. and some of them are struggling now with the drought, although I think they have had some rain recently, but often the rain is not enough or even too much! Hope you get to see some of our towns one day.
Never been to that part of Australia - I want to visit eventually.

Lovely shots.
There is such a beauty when it comes to reflections in water - always capture the eye.
Thanks Diane, the Matilda Centre was really interesting and the light show was good to sit and watch and have a rest!
Thanks, I sometimes think my photos aren't as good as I would like, but a lot of them are taken out of the car window as we can't always stop when we are travelling with our caravan.
Yes I do love the reflections.
