Welcome to Around the Place, this time around I am showing you some photos of birds I have photographed here at home in the suburbs of Adelaide and also some taken on holidays in other parts of Australia. Although I am not a "photographer" I enjoy photography and the challenge of finding the various birds on our travels. I have tried to identify the birds in these photos but I may have got some of them wrong, so if you know their correct identity I would be happy for you to let me know. There is a family of magpies that come in almost every morning, sometimes they even sit on the verandah and warble until we come out and feed them. Its such a lovely "wake up" call and we enjoy watching them squabble over the food and have learnt a lot about their "pecking order". They are beautiful birds.
